CEO Nashville

Your Middle TN Business Connection

CEO Nashville is growing - growth by definition is change - and change is usually hard! In January, we added 18 new CEO Nashvillians (I hope you have been welcoming them).  That is 18 more opportunities to connect with and find the solution to what you need next.  Similarly, our Mastermind Luncheons have seen an significant growth ... to the point that we are packing Corky's Pigpen on a weekly basis.  The challenge here is that to be effective, we try to  spend 3-5 minutes on each business as we help attendees to take their next step.  You can do the math, easily.  30 people in 90 minutes = 3 minutes each ... if we do not waste a moment of our time!

I have had a number of participants to this luncheon approach me with the question of how are we going to handle this growth.  Moving to a larger meeting space does not assist us with the issue of time management.  One way to handle the growth is to add more capacity - that is more meetings. With that objective in mind, I am announcing a new Mastermind Luncheon for the second Wednesday of each month.  This meeting will be held at the Stoveworks Restaurant at the Factory in Franklin.  We are excited over the potential this new venue and new day brings to us.  I am also looking for other possible venues to add meetings throughout the month.

At the same time, to keep our meetings at Corky's effective, there has to be a way to better manage the time.  For a long time now, I have been asking CEO Nashvillians to RSVP for this meeting.  Normally, the reservations run about 1/3 of the actual attendance by CEO Nashvillians.  Please note: I am happy to have as many people attend as show-up.  But in fairness, we may need to limit who gets to speak each week at the Luncheon.  20-25 people presenting what they need next is the limit to effectively managing this meeting.  Starting with our February 14th meeting, priority to speaking will be given to first time visitors, then to members who have RSVP'd and finally to Members  who did not RSVP for the meeting and non-members in the order they arrive.  This will create a bit of a challenge for the host and the host reserves the right control this access.  Guys, I will do my best to be fair. Everyone who attends will introduce themselves, state their business and pass out cards.  Everyone in attendance is encouraged to participate in helping someone get what they need next!  This is the purpose of mastermind!

Obviously, we will have as many people present as possible in the time allowed ... this is not an attempt to drive anyone away.  The real gift of the mastermind process is when you are able to help someone else!  This is how you build your network of connections!  Thank you to the many CEO Nashvillians who are happy to be resources to our Mastermind Participants.  I love you guys!

So, growth = change and change is always hard!  Please join with me as we keep CEO Nashville growing.

P.S.  I want to recognize the CEO Nashvillians who have launched their own Mastermind Groups.  I am amazed that more than one person has felt that launching their own group has taken away from our group.  Such IS NOT the case.  I view such expansions as serving CEO Nashville in a marvelous way and is an affirmation that our members are growing and developing.  Please, feel free to extend our reach if you feel called to do so in such a manner.  Please post your events on our calendar and let me assist in promoting them.  We do not operate from scarcity but from abundance.  Thank you to our CEO Nashvillians who are adding opportunities to mastermind.
